School Development Officer

Parkerville Steiner College is a growing school nestled in the Perth Hills, and we are seeking a passionate, self-motivated individual to join our team.

This is a dynamic role for someone who enjoys connecting with people, supporting our school culture and sharing stories that matter. As School Development Officer, you will help strengthen connections with our community, celebrate our students and ensure that families in the wider Hills region remain informed about this outstanding educational environment. 

No two days will look the same: this role suits someone with the skills and self-direction to strategically plan and then deliver marketing, communications and events, and also be flexible enough to work as part of a small school team and step in wherever needed. Depending on the skills you bring, the scope of your work may include supporting families through the enrolments process with care and efficiency.

Key attributes and skills:
We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a genuine interest in young people and Steiner education.
  • Can write clear, engaging content and capture quality photographs.
  • Can manage external agencies where needed.
  • Is confident using (or keen to learn) websites, social media platforms, and other digital communication tools.
  • Has experience or a strong interest in marketing, communications, or community engagement.
  • Is efficient and skilled in administration software.
  • Is comfortable mastering digital platforms and skilled at adapting them to their full potential. 
  • Communicates effectively and enjoys working collaboratively.
  • Is flexible, organised, and adaptable to varied tasks and priorities.
  • Is willing to attend internal and external events and play an active role in school life. On occassion this will be out of school hours. 

This is an ongoing position, offered as part-time or full-time depending on skills and availability. You will have the opportunity to bring your own ideas and contribute to how we share our story with current and future families.
