Library News
Donations are now closed, the clothes are sorted, and we’re in the final countdown to our Yanganiny Clothing Market – happening this Saturday evening at school!
This is more than just a fun night of pre-loved fashion – it’s a fundraiser for the PWS library, helping us replenish and renew our much-loved collection of books. Your $15 ticket includes entry, a glass of bubbles, nibbles, and the chance to score beautiful pieces from our community wardrobe.
– Tickets available from the front office or at the door on the night.
– Adults only – so line up that babysitter early and treat yourself to a relaxed night out for a good cause.
Meanwhile, Class 9 students have been learning about the devastating environmental impacts of fast and ultra-fast fashion as part of their Ecology unit. They’ve been exploring what happens to clothing after it’s donated, and how the textile industry contributes to landfill, water pollution, and carbon emissions.
Helping sort through the clothing and creating powerful posters for the event has made their learning real – and reminds us all that sustainability starts with how we choose to shop.
Come along, support the school, and be part of the change.
See you at Yanganiny!
