Welcome Back!

A warm welcome back to all after the summer break. We particularly welcome new children and their families. I hope you have settled in well to the Primary school and are enjoying the lessons and making new friends.

A special welcome to Class 1 children and parents as they begin their Primary school journey with Zara, Raquel and the other teachers they will meet. We look forward to welcoming you in person at our assembly next Friday.

Bibra Lake Diary Feb 9th 2025 Bunuru

The water level in Walliabup (Bibra Lake) has receded dramatically in the last week, drained by a series of blistering hot days.

The shallow water brings the wading birds: raucous banded stilts in their meticulous black and white feather-coats; egrets stabbing for fish and then folding softly into themselves, and today eight comical-looking spoonbills sweeping the shallows.

A tortoise surfaces its triangular nose and holds for a count of ten before submerging. Clouds move slowly like continents drifting through the sky, signaling a change. The sun lights up the summer-dried bulrushes on the far side of the lake.
