Semester 2 has been very eventful for our Class 9 Ecology students. Amongst planting and maintaining our gardens and worm farm, we hosted a stall at the PSC open day. There, our visitors could make their own wildflower seed bombs, get their faces painted, and vote on a range of ideas for a community project.

We then shifted our focus onto our next venture; to develop a plot at the Darlington Community Garden. With feedback from the local residents, we are planning to build a Native Bush Garden. For this to come to fruition, we are competing for a grant to help fund this through the organisation 'Millenium Kids'. To apply, we created a short film to promote our proposed idea. We will find out soon if we are successful.

For the remainder of the year we will grow our last crop of fast-growing root vegetables, and we will build a 'Bandicoot Bungalow' on the school grounds to help support the population.
