Last term, our Class 7’s brought the legendary tales of King Arthur to life by transforming their classroom into a captivating theatre. The play featured iconic stories such as the sword in the stone, the quest for the Holy Grail, and the love story of Lancelot and Guinevere. 

  

Through drama, students delve into complex characters, allowing them to experience “the other”, and enhancing their understanding of human experiences. This journey not only brought the legend of King Arthur to life but also fostered personal growth, empathy, communication skills, creativity, and teamwork. 

  

Our thanks go to director Austin Castiglione, costumier Janice Still, assistant Kyra Avery, teacher Anne-Marie McShannon, and props and set extraordinaire, Sarah Boyle. Thank you to the Class 7 parents who contributed in various ways, including supporting students with line learning, and for providing a wonderful feast on the night.
